CAW Local 1941 Opens Labour Adjustment Centre

With the closure of ArvinMeritor at the end of May and with huge layoffs at Autoliv and Mahle, CAW Local 1941 in conjunction with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and with some employer contributions opened the Tilbury Labour Adjustment Centre. The Centre was opened to the members June 1, 2009.
The Adjustment Centre will refer you to existing government services, community agencies and can provide computers with access to the internet, information on training and education as well as provide numerous workshops designed to help you get re-employed. Some of the workshops available now are resume writing, CPR WHMIS review, lift truck recertification and many other workshops.
