There have been several questions raised about the coverage for night guards.
In July 2008, we negotiated and received coverage for night guards for the treatment of bruxism (grinding of teeth) under the dental plan.
This coverage takes effect on January 1, 2009 and will be covered at 80%.
You will be required to furnish to the insurance carrier a prescription for the requirement of a night guard due to bruxism.
