Front bumpers are also plated for the Dodge Ram. Workers assemble 800 & 900-series Chevrolet bumpers for GM facilities in the US and Mexico.

Joined Local 222 in 1985. In December 2002, Columbus McKinnon announced the closing of the manufacturing plant in Cobourg, moving production to plants in Tennessee & Mexico. Today Columbus McKinnon is a Canadian distribution centre. Local 222 members at this Cobourg facility work in the distribution centre and also perform some assembly, sling building and repair.
Durham Region Transit

On January 1, 2006, Durham Region Transit was created, amalgamating the transit divisions throughout the region. On February 10, 2006, a union representation vote was held and workers selected the CAW as their bargaining agent. On October 30, 2006, after a 4-week strike, Durham Region Transit members ratified their first collective agreement. Local 222 represents the drivers, maintenance and clerical workers at DRT. Formerly Oshawa Transit, Handi-Transit and Ajax-Pickering Transit.
General Motors of Canada

On April 26, 1937, after an eighteen-day strike by 3,700 workers, an agreement with General Motors was reached and ratified by the membership and work resumed at GM. Company resistance to the union persisted even after the signing of the first contract. UAW Local 222 was not officially recognized by GM, as a party to the agreement, until 1942. The workers at the Oshawa Car Plant currently produce the Chevrolet Impala and the Chevrolet Camaro. On May 14, 2009, GM made the decision to cease operations at the Oshawa Truck Plant, ending 45 years of production. In other plants in the GM complex, Local 222 members produce stampings for the Oshawa cars, stampings for other truck plants and for NASCAR.

SPS kits, CMA (parts supermarket) and fascias (front and rear) are sequenced for the Chevrolet Camaro. This plant was formerly known as Mackie Automotive, TDS Automotive and TDS logistics.
