407 ETR employees ratified their collective agreement Monday March 3rd. returning 130 people back to work.
After almost two weeks on the picket line the company and the Union were able to come to an agreement that addressed the wages and working conditions that lead the workers to turn down the last offer. 407 ETR members returned to work Tuesday morning. Congratulations to the bargaining committee and all the members of the 407 ETR.
PEGGY NASH FOR NDP LEADER
As President of local 414 I would like to encourage our members to vote for Peggy Nash in the upcoming NDP leadership race. Peggy Nash who is a long time CAW member understands the importance of putting working families first. I have had the opportunity to work with Peggy for many years and can assure you that she understands the struggles of working people.
She brings a deep understanding of the fundamental importance of equality and what it will take to achieve it! I can't think of a better person then Peggy to take on the Conservatives in the next Federal election, something that desperately needs to happen.
