From Brotherhood to CAW
CAW Local 4278 formed as a result of a merger with the Canadian Brotherhood of Rail and Transportation Workers and General Workers Union (CBRT&GW), in 1994.
The Bessborough hotel was built in 1928 by the Canadian National Railway. The hotel officially opened in December, 1935. Since that time the hotel has been unionized.
In 1995, Delta Bessborough merged with DHL/Loomis Courier.
