CBRT&GW MERGED WITH CAW
In June 1994 history was made when The CBRT&GW joined the Canadian Auto Workers Union. The membership voted and were glad to join the CAW since the CAW was a strong and proactive union.It has been almost ten years since we became brothers and sisters to the over 250,000 members of CAW.
Our local has developed into the second largest CAW Healthcare local in Nova Scotia. In 2004 a large group of Health Care Workrers in Ontario became CAW members expanding the presence of Health Care Workers within our union.
We are also proud to be affiliated with the Nova Scotia CAW Healthcare Council and the CAW National Healthcare Council.
