HONORING WORKERS KILLED OR INJURED ON THE JOB

Itís a crime Workers are being injured, or dying every day while they are at there workplace.
More than 100 workers, Union Members and dignitaries were told during the National Day Of Mourning Ceremony Wednesday at North Bay City Hall.
Two members Of Local 991 attended the ceremony. Brother Mike Martin and Brother Laurel Thornton were at the ceremony as the monument honoring those killed or injured or disabled or exposed to disease at the workplace, was unveiled.
One of the speakers said that in Canada two or three workers die every single day in Canada.
Winnie Ng said the monument in North Bay symbolizes the strength and determination of the workers to ensure no one else needs to die to make a living.
