May 25, 2008 - Deadline Set for CAW/OLG Negotiations
On May 23 2008, the Committees along with Local and National representatives were joined by Hemi Mitic, Assistant to CAW President in our presentation to OLG representatives. During this formal opening, Hemi expressed on behalf of the union, his disappointment in the manner in which OLG has conducted themselves since the signing of the agreements just over a year ago and he identified key items which must be addressed in any renewed agreement.

May 3, 2008 - Message from CAW Chairpersons at Brantford, Sudbury and Woodbine
Our Agreements with OLG Brantford, Sudbury and Woodbine will expire at the end of May and as you know from your involvement in completing membership surveys and attending unit meetings, each bargaining committee is preparing for negotiations for the new contract. There is a lot of work ahead and the committees are looking forward for the opportunity to obtain a new and improved agreement that continues to be in our members best interest.

We want to thank the hundreds of members who have taken the time to come out to our membership meetings at all three locations and get first hand information in relation to contract negotiations and issues affecting our sisters and brothers
The Union has notified OLG that it is prepared to meet with them on May 23, 30, 31 and June 1 in Brantford for all three workplaces.
